It's Time To Visit Lake George by Mary Giella
A Happy Father's Day to all!  Wherever you are and whatever you are doing, we hope you enjoy your day and your children, grandchildren, and great great children!  And to you kids of all ages, have a great time making Dad's day special!

We'll see you soon.
Well, Lake George is experiencing some wet weather again today, but, it will end tomorrow and we will have great weather for Father's Day weekend!  Are you coming?

Lake George is a great place to treat Dad to all kinds of fun on his special day.  Take a ride on the lake, soar above the lake, have a late lunch or early dinner and before or after, make some time to play mini golf!

It's going to be a great weekend and it's definitely time to visit Lake George!

Happy Father's Day!

Montcalm 061213.JPGYes, unfortunately it's true.  The Montcalm opened its doors in 1956 and will close today, 57 years after opening.  The Montcalm, still owned and operated by the family that opened its doors will be the site of a new shopping plaza.  Dean will not be leaving the restaurant business, I am told.  He is planning on opening another restaurant in the area.  When I hear the wheres and whens, you'll be the first to know!

I first dined at the Montcalm 36 years ago this month and I will miss it.  Does anyone remember the Montcalm North?  We dined there 36 years ago too.  A sad day in Lake George.  There's still time for a late lunch or dinner!

But, I'll be on the lookout for the wheres and whens for you!

Elvis has left the building, the tow truck convention has packed up and left and the motorcycles will be preparing to leave tomorrow - we'll miss you all!

If you stick around until Sunday, you'll get to enjoy Lake George Restaurant Week.  Here's the link for more information http://www.lakegeorge.com/event/lgr-restaurant-week-50351/.  It's a win win!  Visit one or more of your favorites or try a new dining venue - have a great dining experience!

We'll see you soon!

Think it's Time to Visit Lake George?  Most definitely!!!
I did think positively, I really did!  I hope that everyone who came to visit us for Memorial Day weekend had a great time despite the weather.  I saw a whole lot of you shopping at the outlets and I hope that you got really good deals.

For me, the positive weather part of the weekend was that we didn't get the snow that they got at Whiteface Mountain.  Whiteface is just 90 minutes away from us and 34 inches of snow dropped on Memorial Day weekend!

We'll see you soon!
Well, I always like to think of the glass being half full so I'm going to look at the weather report for this weekend too!  Remember to check out the weather camera at the southern end of Lake George -  see the weather in action!

A heartfelt thank you to all military personnel that have served, are serving, and will serve in the future to protect the beloved USA!

The summer season kick off weekend is here!!!  The most recent water temperature I have for the Lake is 5 days old and the temperature was 51 degrees.  The air temperature that day was 71 - quite a difference!  Come on Sun - please warm up the temperatures of this beautiful lake!

The weather report for this weekend - temperatures will be in the 60's during the day and in the 40's overnight.  There is a 30% chance of rain on Saturday, but, I'll go with a 70% chance of no rain!

We hope to see you this weekend - stop by and say hi!
It was a weekend to enjoy in Lake George.  We had sunny skies and just right temperatures both day and night.

The trees are budding, the flowers are pushing through the earth towards the sun once again.  Come see all the beauty of nature - there's nothing like sitting lakeside and watching the spring rebirth!  It's Always Time to Visit Lake George, this past weekend happened to be a fabulous one!  We'll see you soon.
Spring fever is in the air in Lake George - Canada Street is getting ready for you - primping and stocking to make everything ready for your visit.  Come on by - there's lots to do, see, and experience in this beautiful lakeside resort.  Canada Street is lined with cars, where's yours?  Don't feel like driving, you can always hop aboard the train!  We'll see you soon!
