The month of May brings the opening of Lumberjack Pass Mini Golf, Great Escape and Splashwater Kingdom, Lake George Performance Weekend and Memorial Day Weekend!

Lumberjack Pass will open for the season on May 19th at noon - we'll see you then!  May 19th is also the opening day for Great Escape - visit them on Saturday and or Sunday from 10am - 8pm.  The special admission for opening weekend is $20.12!  The Lake George Performance Weekend will also be held the weekend of May 19 & 20.  Something for everyone - powerboat displays, sailboat races, custom cars, motorcycles, a parade, and FIREWORKS on the Lake Saturday night.

Wow!   It looks like the weather is going to be fantastic for St Patrick's Day Parades all over the region this weekend!

Come be part of the FIRST annual Lake George St. Patrick's Day parade on Sunday.  The parade starts at noon at the Fort William Henry.  Don't wait for the parade though, come on Saturday and enjoy fun for all ages - games, food, music and friends!

The temperatures will be approaching 60 this week.  I have a feeling that many of the spring through fall seasonal businesses in the Lake George region will be ahead of schedule for opening day this year.  It doesn't look like we're going to have to wait for piles of snow to melt.

Every year, I look forward to that Special Sunday when we SPRING ahead and move the clocks forward one hour.  That special Sunday is March 11th this year - we'll give up one hour of sleep for an additional hour of daylight!

Snow will begin falling in the early afternoon tomorrow, and continue through Thursday afternoon.  When all is said and done, we should have between 5 and 12 inches of heavy snow.  This is great news for the snow lovers and winter sports enthusiasts.  You've waited all year for this and now it is finally here!  Bring your sleds, skis, and snowmobiles - It's Time to Visit Lake George!

I made sure that the snow blower has plenty of gas to do the job of clearing my driveway and walkways. 

If not for this being a leap year, February 2012 would have gone down in history as the least snowy of all Februaries on record!  We will just have to wait and see where we score in the record books. Look for pictures of the snow on Thursday!
