Spectator Sports in the Lake George Region Include Hockey, Baseball, Football and Basketball!

Enjoy a good baseball game on a sunny summer day? Or a thrilling hockey game when the temperatures grow colder? How about a rousing football game in the crisp fall air? Division 1 basketball? There are great sports teams located as close as Glens Falls, just a few minutes south of Lake George, as well as several a short hour's drive farther south on I-87 (the Northway.) Make plans to to attend a game and support one of these amazing teams when visiting the area.

RPI Engineers
Troy, NY
The RPI Engineers compete in 23 men's and women's varsity sports. The men's and women's ice hockey teams compete in the NCAA's Division I, while the other 21 sports are in Division III.
Albany Dutchmen
Albany, NY
Experience family fun at Albany Dutchmen baseball games! The team is part of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League and plays its home games at the Christian Plumeri Sports Complex in Albany. The season runs from early June through early August.
Albany Knickerbockers Rugby Club

The Albany Knickerbockers field three men's sides, as well as a Division I women's team called the Sirens. Teams are based out of Dick Green Field in Albany.

Professional hockey is back in Glens Falls! The Adirondack Thunder of the ECHL play their home games at the Glens Falls Civic Center. The season typically runs from late October - early April.

The Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League (PGCBL) is a summer league for college players that runs from early June through the end of July. The Glens Falls Dragons of the PGCBL play home games at East Field in Glens Falls.
Tri-City ValleyCats

The Tri-City ValleyCats are a professional baseball team located in the heart of New York's Capital Region! An affiliate of the Houston Astros, the ValleyCats compete in the 14-team New York-Penn League. They play 28 games from June-September!
Union College Dutchmen

Union College's Dutchmen compete in more than two dozen sports throughout the year. One of the most popular to watch is men's ice hockey, as the team was named NCAA Division I Champions in a recent season.

Siena College has 18 men's and women's athletic teams that compete in the NCAA's Division I. One of the most popular sports to watch is men's basketball, which plays its home games at the MVP Arena in Albany.

Enjoy summer baseball with the Amsterdam Mohawks! The team is part of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League and plays its home games at Amsterdam's Shuttleworth Park. The season runs from early June through the playoffs in early August.

UAlbany's Division I athletics program is made up of 16 men's and women's teams. Watch the Great Danes compete at a variety of locations, including football at Casey Stadium and basketball at SEFCU Arena.
