Led by local, certified educators, Camp Invention is a weeklong summer camp providing kids in grades K-6 a variety of fun, creative, and hands-on activities! Held nationwide, one of the camp programs will be offered near Lake George in Queensbury.
What is Camp Invention?
Created by the National Inventors Hall of Fame, Camp Invention is recognized as the nation's only summer camp program that focuses on creativty, innovation, real-world problem solving, and the spirit of invention! The goal of the goal is to inspire future inventors by teaching them STEM skills in a fun and relaxing environment.
The program is hosted annually throughout the U.S. in partnership with over 1,400 schools and districts. Local and experienced educators are chosen each year to teach kids about STEM concepts, Intellectual Property Literacy™, and 21st century skills, such as critical thinking and creative problem-solving.
Who is Camp Invention for?
Camp Invention is designed for any child entering kindergarten through 6th grade. The unique curriculum includes fun, age-appropriate activities that will tap into your child's creative side.
Although dates, times, and prices vary based on location, in the Lake George Region, the summer camp program will be hosted at the William H. Barton Intermediate School in the Town of Queensbury.
2018 Camp Invention in Queensbury, NY
Think your child would love spending a week at Camp Invention? Sign them up for the 2018 program! In Queensbury, the summer camp will be held from June 25, 2018 through June 29, 2018. The program will run from 8:30am-3:00pm each day, and the cost to register is $225 for the week.
For 2018, new and returning kids can look forward to an all new program called Fast Forward, which will result in each camper bringing home two personalized robots! The program highlights will include:
