The Adirondack Balloon Festival will run from this Thursday, the 22nd until Sunday, the 25th!  Come one and all!  The festivities begin at 5pm on Thursday at Crandall Park with the lift off of 12+ balloons.  The fun continues in Glens Falls with a huge block party on Thursday night with bands, classic cars, and yes, fireworks.  Restuarants and shops will be open - plan to follow detours during the block party - some streets will be closed to vehicular traffic.  The fun will continue until Sunday and will wrap up with a 5pm lift off of 20 or more balloons from the Floyd Bennett Airfield.  Check out http://www.lakegeorge.com/fall/balloon-fest.cfm for more info and the events schedule.

While you're in town, why not visit Taste of the North Country on Sunday (11am - 3pm, rain or shine) at City Park in Glens Falls.  Put on by the Kiwanis Club, there is a $5.00 admission fee with all proceeds going to benefit the community projects sponsored by the Kiwanis Club.  Sample food from more than 40 local restaurants at just 50 cents a piece -  unbelievable - you get to check out 40 restaurants for just $20 while benefiting the Glens Falls Kiwanis Club serving children in the community!

The last weekend in September is always an exciting one in the Lake George area!  The first weekend in October is just as exciting!  Don't you think it's Time to Visit Lake George?  This week, I'll be giving you all the info I can regarding the captivating Warrensburg Garage Sale!

Labor Day weekend, the unofficial end to summer is upon us.  I hope that everyone enjoyed their summer!

Fireworks on Saturday night in Lake George Village - be there by dusk for a good viewing spot!  Bolton Landing will have a fireworks show on Sunday night at 8:00pm.  Why not stop in at their Arts and Crafts Festival before finding your spot for the fireworks.  Craft Festival runs Saturday and Sunday from 10am - 4pm - free of charge!

Adironadack Nationals Car Show runs from September 8th to the 11th - get ready to see some awesome cars!  Night Cruisin' Friday and Saturday nights beginning at 7.  Grab a good spot in the village and experience the awesome array of cars.  On Saturday night, stay put and enjoy the fireworks display at 10pm - fun for all!
