The Adirondack Balloon Festival will run from this Thursday, the 22nd until Sunday, the 25th! Come one and all! The festivities begin at 5pm on Thursday at Crandall Park with the lift off of 12+ balloons. The fun continues in Glens Falls with a huge block party on Thursday night with bands, classic cars, and yes, fireworks. Restuarants and shops will be open – plan to follow detours during the block party – some streets will be closed to vehicular traffic. The fun will continue until Sunday and will wrap up with a 5pm lift off of 20 or more balloons from the Floyd Bennett Airfield.
