Lake George mini golf is an easy pick for a family outing or a casual date night, with themed courses that send players past pirate ships, world landmarks, caves, and waterfalls. Most courses sit along the Route 9 corridor between Lake George Village and Queensbury, and a few share space with go-karts, arcades, and other attractions. Some have operated for decades, while others lean into landscaped settings with streams and stonework.
Classic Mini Golf Near the Lake George Lakefront
Mini golf has been part of a Lake George visit for generations, and one of the longest-running courses still operates near the water.
On Beach Road, across from the Lake George Steamboat docks, Around the World Golf opened in 1963. Local designer Harry Horn filled it with souvenirs and replicas inspired by his travels. Players can choose between two 18-hole courses or play both.
Around the World in 18 Holes passes a Taj Mahal, Egyptian pyramids, and a giant Paul Bunyan, while Around the USA in 18 Holes features an Alaskan igloo, a Maine lobster, and a New York City subway. The course lists recognition from the Travel Channel, Fodor's Travel, and Travel + Leisure.

Several courses line US-9 outside the village, each built around its own theme.
Between the village and the outlet shops, Goony Golf leads players past Sir Goony's Castle, a pirate ship, and other oversized displays.
Also on US-9, Lumberjack Pass Mini Golf spreads 18 holes across an acre of landscaped Adirondack grounds, with streams and a natural stone waterfall. Its greens include undulations, water hazards, and traps, and push-button misters help players cool off on hot days. A snack bar on site serves food and soft-serve ice cream.
Pirate fans can head to Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf, where the 18-hole Lake George course is set in a re-created 18th-century village under pirate occupation. Holes wind through mountain caves, across footbridges, and beneath cascading waterfalls, with sunken ships and pirate dungeons along the way. A second Pirate's Cove course operates on Route 9 in Queensbury.
Mini Golf and Family Entertainment in Queensbury
Just south of Lake George, The Fun Spot in Queensbury pairs mini golf with a full lineup of family attractions. Its Gold Rush Adventure Golf course has 18 mining-themed holes with two caves, five waterfalls, a koi pond, a wobbly bridge, and a water tower, all connected by streams and ponds.
The same property has a go-kart track with a bridge and an underpass, multilevel laser tag, a ninja obstacle course, indoor roller skating, an arcade, and an indoor playground. It's also one of the area's top birthday party venues, with party coordinators who set up the room before guests arrive.
