Shop, Sip & Stroll Around Lake George

November is prime time for shopping, especially as holiday deals start popping up. Wander around the unique shops in the Village like A Christmas to Remember, or explore the Lake George Outlets for great savings on top brands.

If you're in the Outlets, carve out time to pop into The Candy Space, a great spot to pick up stocking stuffers! If you have kids with you, have them fill up a rocket with candy and watch as it's launched into "space."

After shopping, meet up with a friend and wind down with a wine tasting at Adirondack Winery’s Lake George Tasting Room, or try Ledge Rock Hill Winery, which also has a location in the Village.

Embrace Early Winter Adventures

Bundle up for a horse-drawn carriage ride with Caldwell Carriage Company through the Village. This is a picturesque way to see Lake George at any time of year.

If the weather’s mild, November can be a beautiful time for a winter hike. Trails like Prospect Mountain, Shelving Rock Falls, and Buck Mountain offer crisp air and clear views, possibly before snow covers the landscape.

Have Fun Indoors

Cooler temps make it the perfect time to explore Lake George’s family-friendly indoor attractions.

  • Visit local museums: the Chapman Museum and The Hyde Collection both offer engaging exhibits on regional art and history.
  • Got kids? Head to The Fun Spot for roller skating, laser tag, a QBIX experience, Ninja Challenge Course, arcade, and indoor playground (recently upgraded!).
  • Stop by the family-friendly Lake George Lanes & Games for an arcade, laser tag, and an indoor playground - and bowling, of course!
