Weekly Cook-Offs: Local Flavor & Friendly Competition
One of the tastiest highlights of the Lake George Winter Carnival is the weekly food competitions. Each Saturday, local chefs and restaurants go head-to-head in themed cook-offs where ticketholders get to sample every entry and cast their vote for the winner.
Cookoffs run from 12:30pm to 2:30pm each Saturday of the carnival, except for the first Saturday, February 7th, which kicks off at 1pm. Voting closes at 3pm.
Tickets start at $16.81 online. It's highly recommended to purchase tickets ahead of time, because day-of tickets are not guaranteed and may be more expensive.
Here's the 2026 Lake George Winter Carnival Cook-Off Schedule:
February 7: Chili Cook-Off
Last year's winner: TR's Restaurant at the Holiday Inn Resort
February 14: BBQ Cook-Off
Last year's winner: The Garrison

February 28: Chicken Wing Cook-Off

This is a great way to taste what local chefs are cooking up - and the hot food samples will help keep you warm, too!
Sweet Treats: Hot Chocolate Topping Bar & S’mores
For something cozy and sweet, don’t miss out on the Souvenir Mug & Hot Chocolate Topping Bar, held each Saturday of the carnival from 5:30pm to 7pm.
Pile on toppings like marshmallows, whipped cream, and sprinkles to customize your hot cocoa. Plus, you’ll get to roast your own free s’mores, making it a fun (and delicious) pre-fireworks tradition.
Tickets start at $16.30 online, and just like the cook-offs, advance purchase is strongly recommended. You keep the mug!
