Washington County Fair: August 19 - 25, 2024

The Washington County Fair features over 1,800 exhibitors, more than 1,900 animals, over 30 free daily shows, and more than 40 carnival rides. The fair will also be populated with artisans, craftsmen, historians, and food vendors. The fairgrounds in Greenwich are about 40 minutes from Lake George.  

Saratoga County Fair: July 23 - 28, 2024

The Saratoga County Fair offers live music, a rodeo, a demolition derby, domestic and exotic animals, food vendors, and more happening at the fairgrounds in Ballston Spa, about 40 minutes from Lake George.

Altamont Fair: August 13 - 18, 2024

The Altamont Fair has music, concessions, vendors every day, and more. Highlights include the Circus Hollywood, Hollywood Racing Pigs, and a high wire aerial thrill show. The drive takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes from Lake George.

Essex County Fair: (TBA)

The Essex County Fair is about an hour from Lake George. Catch tractor pulls, mud bogs, and trailer races or head over to the midway for rides.

Fonda Fair: (TBA)

The Fonda Fair features a talent contest, demolition derby, animal shows, a rodeo, and other fun activities. The Fonda Fairgrounds are about 1 hour and 15 minutes drive from Lake George.

Schaghticoke Fair: August 28 - September 2, 2024

Participate in hands-on activities at the Schaghticoke Fair, the third oldest fair in the state. Enjoy a Ferris Wheel, Merry Go-Round, live music and more! The Schaghticoke Fairgrounds are just under an hour from Lake George.

Clinton County Fair: July 9 - 13, 2024

The Clinton County Fair in Plattsburgh offers classic fair fun with rides, vendors, food concessions, shows, exhibitions, and more. This one is about 1 1/2 hours from Lake George.

Schoharie County Sunshine Fair: August 6 - 11, 2024

Enjoy the family-friendly fun at the Schoharie County Sunshine Fair with a parade, fireworks, live music, a demo derby, tractor pulls, and more! The fairgrounds in Cobleskill are about 1 hour and 45 minutes away from Lake George.

Columbia County Fair: August 28 - September 2, 2024

You can find live country music, a demolition derby, tractor pulls, a rodeo, and more at the Columbia County Fair. The fair is about 1 hour and 30 minutes away from Lake George, and 2022 marks its 181st year.
