Great Escape Unveils New Logo Celebrating More Than 70 Years of History
Great Escape is entering its next chapter with a new logo that celebrates the theme park's more than 70-year history in the Lake George region. The updated identity pays tribute to the park's Storytown USA roots while incorporating elements that reflect its rides, waterpark, and Adirondack setting.
The new logo was unveiled on October 2, 2026, and will begin appearing throughout the park as the broader brand transition continues into 2027.

Great Escape's New Logo Pays Tribute to Its Storytown USA Roots
Great Escape traces its history back to Storytown USA, which opened in 1954 and introduced families to classic storybook attractions. Several elements from those early days remain part of the park today, including Merry Miller's Mill, also known as the Mill House.
The new logo incorporates the mill and its distinctive waterwheel as a nod to the park's beginnings. The design also reflects how Great Escape has evolved over the decades while maintaining connections to the attractions and traditions that have become part of its identity.
“Great Escape has grown and changed throughout its history, but the traditions and memories created here have always been at the heart of the park,” said Andrew Burggraf, park president of Great Escape Resort. “This new logo celebrates where Great Escape began while representing everything guests know and love about the park today. It connects our past with an exciting new chapter as part of Enchanted Parks.”
What the New Great Escape Logo Represents
Several recognizable elements of the Great Escape experience are incorporated into the new logo, each representing a different part of the park's history and setting.
- Merry Miller's Mill: The storybook attraction represents the park's Storytown USA beginnings and remains at Great Escape today.
- Roller Coaster: The coaster represents the park's collection of thrill rides and family attractions.
- Water Splash: The splash represents the outdoor waterpark and its longtime role in the Great Escape experience.
- Adirondack Mountains & Evergreens: The mountains and trees highlight the park's location at the base of the Adirondacks and its connection to the Lake George region.
- By Enchanted Parks: The wording recognizes Great Escape's new ownership and the new chapter for the property.
More Great Escape Branding Updates Are Coming
The new theme park logo is the first of several updated identities planned for Great Escape Resort. New branding for the outdoor waterpark, Great Escape Lodge, and indoor waterpark is expected to be unveiled later this year.
The changes follow Enchanted Parks' purchase of Great Escape earlier in 2026. While the park's visual identity is evolving, Great Escape says it remains focused on preserving its longtime traditions while continuing to invest in the guest experience.
Visitors attending Fright Fest and Boo Fest weekends through October 25 will begin seeing the new branding around the park, including two new signs featuring the updated logo. The broader transition is expected to continue in phases into 2027.
