Adirondack Winery Brings Home Seven Medals at the 2026 New York Wine Classic
Adirondack Winery is raising a glass to another strong showing at the New York Wine Classic. The local winery earned seven medals at the 2026 competition, with wines ranging from Cabernet Sauvignon and Baco Noir to Riesling, Rosé, and sparkling wine receiving recognition.
A 95-Point Cabernet Leads the Medal Winners
Two Adirondack Winery reds took home Gold Medals this year. The 2024 “View From the Point” Cabernet Sauvignon led the way with 95 points, while the 2024 “Story Teller” Baco Noir received 90 points.
The Cabernet Sauvignon finished just one point below the competition’s Platinum Medal designation. Its grapes were grown on the North Fork of Long Island, highlighting Adirondack Winery’s use of fruit sourced from New York wine regions.
Four More Wines Earn Silver Medals
The awards extended well beyond the winery’s reds. Four wines received Silver Medals, including the 2025 “Blue Jay” Semi-Sweet Riesling, 2024 “Adirondack Overlook” Barrel-Aged Chardonnay, 2025 “Red Cardinal” Dry Riesling, and 2024 “Radiant Bloom” Rosé.
The 2023 Midnight Bubbly also earned a Bronze Medal, bringing Adirondack Winery’s total to seven recognized wines across red, white, rosé, and sparkling styles.
Recognition at a Statewide Competition
Celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2026, the New York Wine Classic drew more than 700 entries from over 100 wineries across the state. Wines were evaluated through blind tastings by an expert sensory panel from the Beverage Testing Institute.
The latest medals continue Adirondack Winery’s recent success at the competition. In 2025, the winery earned three Gold Medals, including recognition for a 93-point Gewürztraminer that was named Best Gewürztraminer in New York State.

Adirondack Winery has been part of the Lake George region since Sasha and Michael Pardy founded the business in 2008. Today, visitors can explore its wines at the Lake George tasting room on Canada Street or its winery headquarters on Big Bay Road in Queensbury.
