This category recognizes the destinations that elevate a traditional camping trip.

1. Whippoorwill Motel and Campsites

Claiming the top spot, Whippoorwill Motel and Campsites is located in the town of Lake George, positioned midway between the village and the newly transitioned Enchanted Parks' Great Escape theme park. The property secures its ranking by offering a distinct hybrid model that integrates a 50-site wooded tent and RV campground directly with standard motel rooms and efficiency units, allowing multi-family groups with different lodging preferences to vacation together on the same property with shared access to an outdoor pool and the Warren County Bikeway.


2. Lake George RV Park

Securing second place, Lake George RV Park is an expansive, all-inclusive camping resort. 5. Lake George Campsites

Rounding out the top five, Lake George Campsites is located in Queensbury. The park features 250 open and wooded RV and tent sites alongside 19 fully furnished, air-conditioned log cottages, complete with family-centric amenities like an outdoor swimming pool, a video arcade, and a fully stocked camp store.
