Festival For the Lake: A Fundraiser to Benefit S.A.V.E. Lake George
Lake George’s 4th annual S.A.V.E. the Lake Festival once again allows visitors and residents to assist in keeping Lake George America’s number one family destination.
Proceeds from this popular music festival, sponsored by the “Committee to Stop Invasives from entering Lake George” and The Fund for Lake George, are donated annually to programs within the Lake George Basin. Last year over $15,000 was donated to the mandatory boat inspection program and salt reduction initiatives.
This season’s festival kicks off on Friday, August 3rd with Bolton Landing's popular band The Switch opening for Skeeter Creek, one of the region’s top country bands.
On Saturday, August 4th, Elvis fans will be treated to the Tribute of Elvis by Drew Polsun at 12:00pm.
At 2:30 on Saturday, The Remedy from Massachusetts takes the stage featuring pop, rock and classic music.
Brighton Beat opens at 5 PM for Albany’s West End Blend who draws huge crowds at the Village’s Fridays at the Lake.
New on Sunday, August 5th, are three bands beginning with John Strong’s Stony Creek at 12:30 PM.
The festival winds down at 2:30 PM with a spectacular line-up featuring the Audiostars and The Refrigerators, making this year’s S.A.V.E. Festival the area’s largest. Both bands have been consistently popular for the past 20 years! Each band features horns and high energy performances.
The festival is free and takes place in the Village’s Shepard Park. Patrons making a donation will receive a free t-shirt. There will be food wagons and over 25 crafters participating. Bounce houses, face painting and a strolling magician will be available as well.
