Overview

Explore the 2.6-mile Rush Pond Way Trail in Queensbury, NY! This nature site connects West Mountain Road and Fox Farm Road and is accessible by hikers, mountain bikers, cross-country skiers, and snowshoers. Leashed dogs are welcome!

Established in 2014, the Rush Pond Way Trail is a link between the Gurney Lane Recreation Area, neighborhoods along the Aviation Road corridor, and the Queensbury School campus trail system. The trail features three bridges and scenic views of the surrounding wetlands and streams, and is stroller- and kid-friendly.

Camping, swimming, and motorized vehicles are prohibited. However, this year-round nature trail is open for the following activities:

  • Walking (with leashed dogs too)
  • Hiking
  • Mountain Biking
  • Cross-Country Skiing
  • Snowshoeing

Looking for a pet-friendly walk in the woods with your dog? This is the perfect place.  Dogs must be leashed.  We also love this walk as there is a wide well-traveled main trail and many off-shoot trails that offer miles of exploration.  If you are a photographer, this trail is for you, it is so beautiful!
