Adirondack Rafting Adventures at the Adirondack Adventure Center offers guided whitewater rafting trips down the Sacandaga River. The river has 3.5 miles of dam-released Class II-III whitewater rapids, and everyone ages 5 and older can enjoy a 2-hour trip.
All you need to bring is footwear, swimwear, sunscreen, and a towel; the company will provide tubes, rafts, life jackets, and transportation to and from the river.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!! Booked a trip over a year in advance and when my group arrived the place was closed. Completely ruined a surprise 40th birthday celebration for my wife!
I've done this a couple of times in the past, but this is definitely going to be my last time. It was one of the most miserable experiences I've ever had in my life. It's obvious that the ownership is now only interested in one thing, and thats profit. No cares about customer experience at all. The trip I was booked on had about 80 people, and about half of those were so sloppy drunk it was ridiculous. Why do they book so many people at one time on this? I have done this in the past to enjoy and have a relaxing, peaceful experience. This was the furthest thing from relaxing. So many rude and drunk people. All they did was ruin it for everyone. Being loud, obnoxious, rude to other guests, rude to the staff. Which in turn made the staff miserable and rude. They looked like they hated their job. All I wanted to do was get away from the whole experience. Everyone reading this, STAY AWAY!!
We had a terrific time rafting with ADK and we will definitely use them again! Our guide was a pro, knowledgeable, warm and funny. Our six year old was *very* reluctant at the start, and after 5 minutes was grinning. The ride was pretty gentle, we swam along beside the boat for 10-15 min.
