About this event

Brush Lettering for Beginners

Have you ever admired beautiful hand-lettered cards, journals, signs, or inspirational quotes and wondered how people create them?

The answer may be simpler than you think.

Join Kate for a beginner-friendly introduction to modern brush lettering and discover what your handwriting can become with just a few simple techniques and a little practice.

During this 90-minute workshop, you'll learn the foundational strokes that form the building blocks of modern brush calligraphy. Kate will guide you through how to hold a brush pen, how pressure creates thick and thin lines, and how basic strokes combine to create beautiful letters, words, and phrases.

As your confidence grows, you'll put your new skills to use by designing and lettering the cover of a small notebook to take home.

No artistic experience is required, and you do not need naturally beautiful handwriting to be successful in this class. Brush lettering is a learned skill, and this workshop is designed specifically for beginners.

Your registration includes a brush pen to keep, a notebook to personalize, practice materials, and all instruction.

Whether you're interested in journaling, card making, scrapbooking, creative planning, gift making, or simply trying something new, this class is a fun and approachable place to start.
