In response to the many questions I have gotten about the hunting trips, here’s the info:
Hunts are true wilderness adventures in one of the Adirondacks’ most pristine areas, Vanderwacker Mountain Wilderness Area. We suggest you familiarize yourself with both a compass and a GPS- something everyone should have with them and know how to use. When hunting on one of our fully guided trips there is really no reason to leave your stand. These woods are not only vast but also rugged. We make it very clear this is not a southern zone hunting experience.
Game is not concentrated as it is in the southern zones, so be prepared to put in a long hard day of hunting. If you can do this, you may be rewarded with a trophy Adirondack buck or bear of a lifetime. This is truly an Adirondack adventure as much as it is a hunt. Hope to see you in the mountains!
For those of you who may not be interested in hunting, come spend one, two, three or as many days as you like enjoying the spectacular Adirondack fall foliage at one of our wilderness tent camps. Hike, kayak, fish for brook trout or just sit by the camp fire and listen to the call of the loons on the lake. Give us a call and we will customize a trip to fit you and your family’ s needs. We hope to see you in the mountains during this truly amazing time of year.
FISHING LAKE GEORGE Yes, there are lots of lakers left. The past couple of weeks have seen a steady round of success stories with folks fishing with Highliner Charter Fishing. Also enjoying some great evening bass fishing aboard our brand new pontoon boat. Now’s the time to hit the water one more time in 2012 .
