Battles and Beverages at Fort William Henry
Two days filled with great events at the Fort William Henry Museum. We are hosting a Sutler Fair and Reenactor Meet, Vaudreuil’s Raid Reenactment, Craft Beverage Event, and Buffet Dinner and Silent Auction! All in one weekend.
Friday March 23:
3:00 pm – 6:00 pm - 2018 Sutler Fair and Reenactor Meet at the Fort William Henry Conference Center.
Learn about becoming a reenactor! Reenactment groups portraying Medieval, Revolutionary War, French & Indian War, Civil War, and World War II will be on hand to answer questions and recruit new members! Sutlers (vendors) will be selling handcrafted items which are unique for the reenactor in your life or just as a special gift! Free admission.
Saturday March 24:
9:00 am – 4:00 pm - 2018 Sutler Fair and Reenactor Meet at Fort William Henry Conference Center continues.
Vaudreuil’s Raid 1757 at Fort William Henry Museum
Talk with the garrison at Fort William Henry and learn what it was like at this outpost in the wilderness in 1757! Musket firing, military drill and more! Reenactment of Vaudreuil’s Raid at 2:00 pm. $5 per person. Outside - dress warm!
12:00 pm – 4:00 pm - Local NYS Craft Beverage Event
Fort William Henry Conference Center. Join some of the best local breweries, wineries and distilleries to learn about their product, try samples and purchase your favorite beverages to take home! Must be 21 or older! Free admission.
Participants: Gristmill Distillers, Racing City Brewing Company, Argyle Brewing Company, Lake George Distilling Company, The Saratoga Winery, Amorici Vineyard and Olivia Vineyards, Adirondack Brewing Company.
Buffet Dinner and Silent Auction - 4:30 pm
All you can eat buffet and silent auction to benefit the French & Indian War Society (501c3) in its work to educate the public about the important role our area played in the history of the United States, preserve the stories and conserve the artifacts of the period for future generations. Fort William Henry Conference Center. $15/person. Reservations required.
