Lake George Opera at Saratoga will celebrate its 48th season of producing professional opera in 2009, with fully-staged productions of Madama Butterfly by Puccini and Don Pasquale by Donizetti.
The 2009 LGOpera at Saratoga Season will also feature the developmental premiere of Eleanor Roosevelt by American composer Persis Parshall Vehar.
All Opera performances take place at the Spa Little Theater.
The 2009 Saratoga Opera Ball takes place on July 1st at the Gideon Putnam Hotel and features legendary bandleader Peter Duchin. For additional information call the Opera office at 518-584-6018

Camp Santanoni: Past, Present and Future, Lecture by Stephen Engelhart, Executive Director of Adirondack Architectural Heritage. This lecture is free of charge and open to the public. Using historical and contemporary photographs, this program explores aspects of the past, present and future of the Great Camp Santanoni located in Newcomb, NY.
