There are two major festivals going on in the Lake George region this weekend, the Sembrich’s free production of a children’s opera you won’t want the kids to miss out on, plus Fridays at the Lake and a Rockin’ Music Cruise. Happy weekend!
Lake George Art & Craft Festival
July 28 – 30
The Lake George Art & Craft Festival returns this weekend to Charles R. Wood Park! With the event running Friday through Sunday, there is no excuse not to carve some time out this weekend to check out one-of-a-kind paintings, drawings, sculptures, jewelry, and other art pieces, along with everything else the festival offers.
Attendees can expect food trucks and other food vendors, wineries and craft beverage producers, fun for kids including art activities and pony rides, and live music each day.
July 28 & 29
Head to Warrensburg for the epic 60th anniversary of the Smoke Eaters Jamboree. The event includes carnival rides, live music, fireworks, the yearly chicken barbecue, and fun for kids with Freckles the Clown and Mike Cole the Magician.

Sembrich Summer Festival: The Ugly Duckling

Have the kids home this summer, and looking for somewhere to take them during the day? Tomorrow at 10am The Sembrich is hosting a children’s opera based on The Ugly Duckling, performed by the Seagle Festival. This is an outdoor, free performance by the lake. Reservations are recommended.
