February Happenings to Get Excited About in the Region
The Epic Lake George Winter Carnival Starts Saturday!
With all the holiday events of the past couple of months, ongoing Winterfest activities, and Ice Castles, winter fun has been in full effect in Lake George for awhile. But, hold onto your (winter) hats, because the 60th anniversary of the Lake George Winter Carnival begins this weekend!
The most important change to note for this year is that pre-sale tickets are being sold online for the hot chocolate bar and other food events, including the Chili Cook off scheduled for this Saturday; admission to the Carnival is free as always. You can buy pre-sale food-related tickets here: https://lgwintercarnival.ticketleap.com/
Another change to note is that Saturday fireworks this year are at 7pm instead of 6pm.
The Month-Long Warren County Ice Fishing Challenge is Underway
If you’ve never ice fished before, entering an ice fishing challenge might sound intimidating. But, this one is different: instead of a one-day derby competition it’s a month-long challenge, and, a Free Fishing Days Weekend falls in this month as well, so you can try the sport out with an experienced guide or friend without having to purchase a fishing license yet.
Get the details on the Warren County Ice Fishing Challenge – and if you’re one of the first 100 to sign up you can get a free tee-shirt.
Preorder for the Tree & Shrub Seedling Sale
