The Lake George Family Truckster Trucks On
The Lake George Family Truckster (or trucksters – there are actually three) can be seen on Canada Street and if you’re lucky elsewhere in the Village. If you look carefully inside the tree on the car, you might be able to find a (fake) squirrel hiding, as a nod to National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. If you’re going to be visiting or recreating in the Lake George region at all this winter, it would be silly not to get a Winterfest wristband. A $20 wristband gets you 15% off at participating hotels, 10% off at participating restaurants, access to free hot cocoa stations, and horse-drawn carriage rides. A $30 wristband gets you all that plus a winter activity, like dog sledding, snowmobiling, or cross-country skiing. (Yes, it is a really good deal.)
Winterfest runs from December 27, 2021 to March 11, 2022.
State Vaccine Site at Aviation Mall Rocking & Rolling
The Post Star reports that the Aviation Mall vaccine site has administered 1,669 doses within the first two days of being set up. The demand for vaccinations exceeded the number of shots on site, and they needed to reorder. They’re also performing about 90 COVID tests a day on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
