After your Thanksgiving feast tomorrow, get ready to launch into the holiday season in Lake George, with Holiday Festival of Lights starting this Saturday, and more wintry fun around the corner.

Holiday Festival of Lights Begins This Weekend!
The highly anticipated Holiday Festival of Lights starts this Saturday, November 27, in conjunction with Lite Up the Village. Holiday Festival of Lights is brought to us by Events to a T and includes light displays and decorations in Shepard Park in addition to decorated storefronts along Canada Street. There will be live entertainment in the park on select Saturdays (December 4, 11, and 18), and the lights will remain on display through December 31.
“The lights are best enjoyed when it’s dark out, after 5pm,” Letizia Mastrantoni of Events to a T said in a statement. “Many businesses have pledged to remain open for extended hours this December, and especially on weekends.”
Holiday Festival of Lights is free, although you will want to check out the festival’s three ticketed events: the Royal Snow Sisters Princess Show on December 4, Ha-Ha-Holiday Comedy Show on December 10, and a Holiday Artisan Vendor Market December 18 and 19.

Christmas in Warrensburgh Comes to Glens Falls
As part of the annual Christmas in Warrensburgh event, the Warrensburgh Riverfront Farmers Market will set up inside the Shirt Factory in Glens Falls on December 4 for an indoor Holiday Market & Artisan Fair. Attendees can browse local vendors, farmers, and artisans selling and demonstrating. All of what’s sold must be produced locally, so you can be confident you’re supporting area businesses and individuals as you pick up original, unique gift items.
Ice Castles Construction Starts & More Wintry News
In addition to the fabulous Holiday Festival of Lights slated to start this weekend, construction for Ice Castles has started in Charles R. Wood Park. If you’re able to walk down Elizabeth Little Boulevard, look for the Ice Castles sign and take a peek through the fence!
And, Winterfest tickets are now on sale! The second annual Lake George Winterfest runs December 27 through March 12, and there are two options for wristbands. One non-activity wristband gets you horse-drawn carriage rides, access to hot chocolate stations, and discounts at area restaurants and hotels for $20. For $30, you get all that plus a winter activity of your choice, such as dog sledding, cross-country skiing, snow tubing, or snowmobiling.
Activities did sell out last year, and the wristband more than pays for itself with what you get. If you’re going to be here this winter at all, you should take advantage!
