In addition to the Field of Flags at Fort William Henry, the historic site is hosting a Veterans Day Ceremony today, November 11, at 11am at the Field of Flags. Stop by if you are able to – the museum will be open until 4pm.

Polar Plunge Party Announced & More News Around Town
Prepare for the Polar Plunge & Party
In addition to the above events, the annual Lake George Polar Plunge for Special Olympics is this Saturday, November 13. The Lake George Beach Club will be hosting a Polar Plunge Party on Friday and Saturday with live music and on-site registration. Come out for some fun and support Special Olympics!
Get Your Holiday Wreath From Warrensburgh Beautification
Warrensburg Beautification has announced their 33rd annual Holiday Wreath Sale. These are evergreen wreaths guaranteed to be fresh, full, and fragrant, and decorated with local pinecones and a handcrafted red velvet bow. They’re available in two sizes, 12- and 16-inch frame diameters, and are $12.50 and $15 respectively. (There are also limited quantities of larger sizes.)
Amazingly, the group has kept the wreaths the same price since 1989, with the hopes that businesses and residents will adorn their doors and properties for the holiday season.
Wreaths will be available for pickup on Friday, November 26, and First Baptist Church at 3850 Main Street from 10am to 12pm. You can place an order by calling 518.466.5497 or by emailing taawhalen@yahoo.com.
Bolton Resort on Lake George Sells for Millions
Capri Village Resort & Motel has sold for $5 million ($5,490,000 according to the Glens Falls Chronicle) to David Massaroni. Located in Bolton, Capri Village sits on a 7.5-acre property, has 62 rooms, a 400-foot beach, and 14 boat slips, and had previously been owned by husband and wife John and Linda Famosi. Broker Gloria Ford of Davies-Davies & Associate Real Estate told the Albany Business Journal that she’d been juggling several offers since the start of the pandemic.
A Grand Union in Warrensburg Again? Yes!
The Tops Friendly Markets on Main Street in Warrensburg is set to rebrand as a Grand Union, according to News 10 ABC. This Tops location is one of a dozen being sold as part of a merger between Tops and Price Chopper/Market 32; all 12 stores will be reimagined into Grand Unions. Tops had purchased this Grand Union location, and others, in 2013. We can expect to see the Warrensburg Grand Union up and running in January or February of 2022.
