Head over to Pilot Knob on the eastern shore of Lake George for Camp Chingachgook‘s annual Fall Festival Open House. This family-friendly event will be full of free activities, like hiking, archery, seasonal crafts, and tours. There will also be free food and s’mores. Reservations are free, but must be made by October 30.

Adirondack Stampede Charity Rodeo

Channel your inner cowgirl or cowboy in Glens Falls at the annual Adirondack Stampede Charity Rodeo. The Cool Insuring Arena will host rodeo professionals from around the region and across the country as they compete in several standard events. Stay after the show for a Round-Up Party at the arena’s Heritage Hall.
2nd Annual Glens Falls Wedding Show

Planning a wedding in the Lake George area? You’ll want to stop by the Charles R. Wood Theater in Glens Falls for the 2nd Annual Glens Falls Wedding Show, featuring more than 50 local wedding professionals, including caterers, florists, photographers, and representatives from stunning local venues. Admission is free, and walk-ins are welcome.

LARAC, or the Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council, is hosting its annual Fall Arts Festival this weekend at the Adirondack Sports Complex in Queensbury. Get started on your holiday shopping and check out merchandise from local crafters, such as home decor, jewelry, photography, and more. There will also be food vendors and live music.

Ticonderoga’s week of Halloween festivities ends on October 31 with plenty of trick-or-treating fun in Downtown, at the Community Center, and more. There will also be a virtual reality experience near the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce, a helicopter in Bicentennial Park, and a trick-or-treating hallway at North Country Community College. There isn’t a rain date, so bring rain gear for the outdoor events!
Warrensburg Annual Halloween Parade
Thursday, October 31
School-aged kids will enjoy marching in Warrensburg’s Annual Halloween Parade, which will set off from the Hudson Headwaters parking lot and continue down Main Street. The event concludes at Warrensburg Elementary School with a costume contest. There’s no word yet on if the rainy weather will affect the parade, so it’s a good idea to call ahead before heading out on Halloween.
Prospect Mountain – Free Admission in Honor of Veterans

Take a scenic drive up Prospect Mountain for free this weekend! The New York State DEC is offering free admission to Prospect Mountain Veteran’s Memorial Highway in honor of Veteran’s Day. While there, take a moment to thank one of the local veterans (who will be at the parking area greeting visitors) for their service.

Why simply throw your jack o’ lanterns away when you can bring them to Adirondack Pub and Brewery’s pumpkin catapult? This free, kid-friendly event will also have apple slingshots, a bounce house, live entertainment, a food truck, and more.

Field of Flags: Veterans Appreciation Week

Fort William Henry‘s annual Field of Flags begins this Sunday, November 3 and continues through November 15, with about 7,100 flags honoring both veterans and those currently serving in the military. A special musket salute is scheduled for November 11.
