Have you ever dreamed of owning your own resort on Lake George? What about your own mansion? For a cool $30 million you can have both. Buying waterfront property on Lake George is a great investment these days, so if you’ve really been saving up your pennies, now is your chance to take action!
Owner Ken Ermiger has put both the Depe Dene Lakeside Resort and his Lake George estate on the market for $15 million and $14.9 million, respectively. The millionaire has bought and operated a number of businesses and he’s reportedly decided to slow down a bit and sell some of his properties.
Depe Dene consists of 86 rental units between Adirondack cabins, townhouses, beach suites, lakeside cottages, and motel rooms. Also on the property is a five-story mansion, two boat houses, 30 dock spaces, and 28 acres across Lake Shore Drive with two rental homes. Ermiger purchased the resort in 1976 for $775,000 and has made a number of improvements over the years.
Also for sale is the Green Harbour Mansion on Cooper Point. The mansion has 11 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, six fireplaces, a boat house, 30 dock spaces, a commercial kitchen, a billiard room, and several decks. There is also a four-bedroom stone cottage on the property. The mansion was originally built in 1913 for Frederick Peabody, a Troy shirt collar maker.
Both properties are now officially on the market through Dan Davies, broker and owner of Davies-Davies & Associates, and co-listing agent associate broker Karen O’Carroll.
