Prepare For 4th of July Fireworks & Weekend Fun in Lake George: June 30-July 2

Since 4th of July falls on a Tuesday this year, the Lake George Region is gearing up for all kinds of events and activities starting this weekend. From early Independence Day fireworks displays to exciting festivals and shows, there will be plenty to enjoy in anticipation of the 4th of July Fireworks Celebration in Shepard Park.

Upcoming Fireworks Displays

Fireworks in Lake George – Sunday, July 2

Before the fireworks display on Tuesday, July 4 in Lake George Village, you can watch a different fireworks celebration this Sunday night! Scheduled for around 9:30pm, the fireworks will be visible from Shepard Park Beach and the southern basin. In addition, there will be fireworks cruises going on that evening.

Coca-Cola® July 4th Fest – Sunday, July 2 – Tuesday, July 4

Six Flags Great Escape in Queensbury is hosting the multi-day Coca-Cola® July 4th Fest this weekend. Brilliant fireworks displays will take place each night of the festival, and you’ll discover tons of special games and great entertainment going on throughout the theme park. As a bonus, all active and retired military can get in the park for FREE with valid identification.

Ticonderoga, NY: Best 4th in the North 2017 Celebration – Friday, June 30 – Tuesday, July 4

Head to the northern end of Lake George for the Best 4th in the North Celebration in Ticonderoga! This four-day event will include a parking lot party, live music, food and vendors, a festive parade, a grand fireworks display, and more.

Hague, NY: Independence Day Celebration – Sunday, July 2

Bring the family to the Town Park in Hague for a Sunday evening Independence Day Celebration! There will be a fireworks display and live music by Calamity Rock, who play soft rock and country.

Fantastic Festivals & Shows

Adirondack Regional Art Show & Sale – Saturday, July 1 – Thursday, August 31

This summer’s Adirondack Regional Art Show & Sale at the Saunders Gallery of Fine Art @ bjsartworks in Glens Falls will kick off this Saturday and run through August 31. All of the artworks on display will be available for purchase, so come by and take home a piece of art.

Bolton Landing Emergency Squad Arts & Crafts Festival – Saturday, July 1 & Sunday, July 2

Join over 30 local artisans, artists, and crafters this Saturday and Sunday for the annual Bolton Landing Emergency Squad Arts & Crafts Festival. Scheduled to take place at the Cross Street Parking Lot, this festival always features a great selection of artworks and goods. Some of the proceeds will benefit the Bolton Landing Emergency Squad.

Strawberry Festival and Bazaar – Saturday, July 1

Visit the Community Methodist Church in Chestertown for a family-friendly Strawberry Festival and Bazaar this Saturday from 9:00am-3:00pm. You’ll find all kinds of delicious strawberry treats for sale as well as other goods to purchase. At 11:00am, Phoenix Rising, a local praise band, will perform outside (or inside if it rains).

Fridays at the Lake: The Audiostars with Dos Amigos – Friday, June 30

Come see The Audiostars and Dos Amigos perform live at the Shepard Park Amphitheatre in Lake George Village for a Friday night concert. The free outdoor event will also include a craft beer & wine garden, kids’ activities, a food caterer, and more.

Adirondack Theatre Festival: Nikola Tesla Drops the Beat – Friday, June 30 & Saturday, July 1

Don’t miss out on the final performances of “Nikola Tesla Drops the Beat” at the Charles R. Wood Theater in Glens Falls! There will be one show on Friday night and then two final shows on Saturday at 2:00pm and 7:30pm. The musical is best described as “Hamilton” meets Tesla, and it’s truly a theatrical experience unlike anything you’ve ever seen.
