Have you ever ridden on the Saratoga & North Creek Railway? If not, now is the time to! This gem of the Lake George region travels along a 56 mile stretch from Saratoga Springs to North Creek through The First Wilderness Heritage Corridor and provides a scenic view just outside your seat’s window.
In addition to taking a relaxing journey through the Adirondack Region, the railway is also excited to announce a variety of new offerings including special events, programs and packages for the remainder of 2015.

Special Events, Brunch & Dinner Trains
June 21: Father’s Day Brunch – Celebrate Dad with a hearty four course brunch and check out the early summer scenery along the upper Hudson. There will be a full bar available and a special surprise will be waiting for Dad!
July 28, August 4, 11, 18 and 25: Saratoga Dinner Trains – If you’re looking for something to do during “Dark Tuesdays” during track season, hop aboard the dinner train! Enjoy a gourmet dinner and views of the sunset in a vintage dome car.
September 25: Oktoberfest Dinner Train – This ride will feature German music, atmosphere, food and beers!
October 16: Fall Foliage Dinner Train – Take in unparalleled views of the brilliant colors of fall along the upper Hudson River while dining on an expertly prepared four course dinner.
October 17 – 18: Fall Family Festival – Family-friendly activities and entertainment are included on this train ride that will highlight the best fall foliage in all of the New York!
November – December: The Polar Express – A family favorite! Climb aboard the festively decorated vintage train cars and sip on hot chocolate on your way to the North Pole.
Adirondack Outdoor Adventures
Iron Horse Ride to 1000 Acres Ranch Resort: Choose between a day-trip or an overnight visit to the oldest dude ranch in the Adirondack region. Only a 70 minute ride north from Saratoga, this excursion is one you will not want to pass on!
Upper Hudson River Rafting: Travel 50 minutes to the Hadley-Lake Luzerne Station from Saratoga Springs and get ready for an unforgettable, exhilarating whitewater adventure.
Historical Casey Mine Hike: Take in views of the Adirondacks during the two hour ride to North Creek. From there, enjoy a two and a half hour hike at Casey Mountain, the home of garnet ore production. The hike ends at Creal Mine, an underground cave.
Rail & Sail Program
The Railway has recently partnered up with the Lake George Steamboat Company! Present your train tickets and receive 15% off your Lake George Steamboat Company tickets, and vice versa. This program is running from now until Labor Day.
North End Local Service out of Thurman
This short-line service that started last year is being offered once again. This 50-minute train ride will operate Fridays through Sundays from July 3 through September 7.
