Anyone who has ever been to Lake George knows about the gorgeous views, amazing outdoor adventure opportunities, and abundance of water-based activities, so it’s no surprise that the region recently received national attention! Outside Magazine and The North Face teamed up to compile a list of “50 Places You Have To #SeeForYourself” and they included Lake George!
The write-up stated that “Lake George offers [a] magic combo of water and backcountry trails” and mentions cliff jumping as an attraction that should not be missed. In particular, Calves Pen, “a 50-foot high outcropping in Log Bay on the east shore,” was the recommended location for cliff jumping.

It may be too cold for cliff jumping this time of year, but there’s still plenty of exciting things to do in Lake George! Check out the Lake George Winter Guide and see for yourself!
