Rescheduled - 10th Annual Winter Raptor Fest in Greenwich, NY
PLEASE NOTE (3/27/2020): This event was rescheduled from May 16-17, 2020, as noted by the event organizer, Grassland Bird Trust. The event will now be held on October 3-4, 2020, at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Greenwich.
Experience the wonder of flight when Grassland Bird Trust's 10th annual Winter Raptor Fest returns to the Washington County Fairgrounds! Follow a trail through the WILD Encounter on Saturday to meet native owls, hawks and falcons up close in the natural habitats they depend on for their survival - keep an eye out for live porcupine, fox and other mammals along the way!
Exciting programs introduce you to many of our native owls, hawks and falcons, including some of our most endangered species! Live bird of prey programs, Raptor photo booth, horse-drawn birding wagon, kids activities and more round out this exciting weekend where raptors rule!

"Raptors in Flight" - Adirondack Raptors

Meet and learn about the amazing owls, hawks, and falcons that depend on open grassland for their survival!
"Wildlife Alive!" - The New York Wildlife Rescue Center
Learn about the conservation and preservation of our wildlife in this educational presentation about birds of prey from the great Northeast, as seen on NatGeo Extreme Animal Rescue.
"The Threat to Boreal Habitats" - Adirondack Wildlife Refuge & Rehab
AWR Director Wendy Hall and a Lynx from the refuge introduce you to life in the boreal forests, and the human activities that threaten their survival.

Winter Raptor Fest is a fundraiser for Grassland Bird Trust's work to conserve critical habitat for endangered Short-eared owls and other at-risk grassland birds.
