Imagine for a moment a newlywed couple silhouetted against the lush green of the Adirondacks, the sparkling deep-blue waters of Lake George at their feet. They’ve just said their vows and the celebration of their love is the only thing that could possibly pull focus from the stunning lake and mountain views that backdrop the ceremony.
Can you picture it?
Lake George Boat Weddings makes this fantasy come true for happy couples every season on their historic steamboats sailing out of Lake George Village. For decades, the Mohican and the Lac du Saint Sacrement have witnessed couples pledging their love to one another before friends, family, and of course, the lake.
A destination wedding without the passport
With incomparable mountain and shoreline scenery visible only from the heart of Lake George, a boat wedding on the lake is special and unusual – part destination wedding, part elegant soiree floating through America’s backyard.
As with more run-of-the-mill destination weddings at all-inclusive resorts, the charter department at the Lake George Steamboat Company is ready to offer their experienced guidance and take care of every detail. The difference, of course, is that generations of families have gone on first dates, repaired broken hearts, gotten engaged, and even married on the Lake George Steamboat Company’s fleet.
The history of love and laughter aboard the Saint and the Mohican; the personalized ceremony and reception; the steady, everlasting presence of the lake –a wedding on the water with Lake George Boat Weddings is a truly magical celebration.
Unique, elegant weddings for every budget
Lake George holds a special place in the hearts of many. Whether you grew up spending summers at the lake or have lived near Lake George all your life, the “Queen of American Lakes” has that ineffable je ne sais quoi that pulls at your soul and keeps you coming back.
Lake George Boat Weddings offers packages for every couple and every budget. Whether you envision a private ceremony for two performed by the captain as the sun sets or a full afternoon and evening charter with all your friends and family in attendance and dancing the night away, the wedding planners will find a way to make your dreams reality.
Two Lake George Steamboat Company ships are available for wedding charters and private parties. The Lac du Saint Sacrement is a particularly lovely setting for both private charters and smaller weddings during public cruises. Because the stern of the Saint is open to the second deck, all your guests have a front-row seat for the celebration and everyone is always part of the moment. The Saint comfortably accommodates formal dining for up to 350 and cocktail parties up to 1,000.
Slightly smaller than the Saint, the Mohican is perfect for intimate weddings or rehearsal dinners, comfortably serving a seated dinner to up to 120 guests. Both the Saint and the Mohican enchant guests with 360-degree views of Lake George and the surrounding mountains.
Picturesque, intimate, and extraordinarily memorable, Lake George Boat Weddings are storybook weddings brought to life.
