Raise Your Steins to Lake George’s Ultimate Oktoberfest Celebrations

See What's Happening in October 2025

As the season changes from summer to fall, the Lake George region comes alive with the excitement of not one but two Oktoberfest celebrations: the Lake George Village Oktoberfest (October 10 - 12) and the Adirondack Brewery Oktoberfest Charity Block Party (October 18)!

While these two Oktoberfests are different, they both raise money for an incredible community organization every year. Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Southern Adirondacks is this year's charity.

A Double Dose of Oktoberfest Excitement

2025 Lake George Village Oktoberfest

October 10 - 12, 2025

a crowded tent full with people

Kicking off the festivities is the local favorite that combines the traditional Oktoberfest celebrations with the charm of Lake George: the Lake George Village Oktoberfest.

This family-friendly, free-entry event on Columbus Day Weekend transforms the heart of Lake George into a bustling European-style street fair as Canada Street is blocked off for three days of fun.

Enjoy all things Oktoberfest amid the backdrop of stunning fall foliage reflecting off Lake George. It’s a picture-perfect opportunity to make autumn memories!

As soon as you enter the festival, you'll feel like you've been transported straight to Germany. Sponsored by Adirondack Brewery and High Peaks Distilling, the festival features traditional music from the best Bavarian-style bands in the Northeast and an incredible selection of Bavarian food and brews.

Be sure to get there early on Friday so you can get your FREE Oktoberfest hat! This year the fun starts earlier with expanded hours on Friday! The beer tent will open at noon with vendors and food sales starting at 5 PM.

The streets of Lake George Village will also come alive with over 50 vendors, artisans, and fun activities, like a barrel race, a keg-throwing contest, dancing chickens, and more. Plus all of the other restaurants, bars and shops that downtown Lake George has to offer.

There will even be games and rides for kids to ensure everyone has a great experience regardless of age. Guests can indulge in traditional Oktoberfest fare, like grilled sausages, giant pretzels, turkey legs, and Wienerschnitzel as well. There’s something for the whole family to enjoy!

At Oktoberfest, there is no shortage of specialty beverages, thanks to the local and regional breweries showcasing their finest creations.

This year’s beer selection boasts an assortment of Adirondack Brewery's top-notch offerings, including an Oktoberfest brew, Lake George IPA, and Bare Naked Ale. In addition, guests will have the opportunity to try the new canned cocktails from High Peaks Distilling. Non-alcoholic beverages will be available too.

The Adirondack Brewery Oktoberfest Charity Block Party is so much more than a beer festival! This 21-and-over 5-hour block party guarantees a good time for a good cause as they raise funds for charity every year.

This year’s beneficiary is Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Southern Adirondacks, and the need is more than ever with a waitlist of more than 200 children hoping for a big brother or big sister.

Each ticket includes a complimentary Oktoberfest-branded 5 oz. sampler stein, a $15 food voucher (also included with the designated driver ticket), and unlimited sampling of Adirondack Brewery fall classics including a variety of beer and cider, along with offerings from more than a dozen guest breweries, local wineries, and craft cideries.

Guests also enjoy entry into a variety of games and contests throughout the day with prizes for winners, plus free parking. Designated driver tickets are also available!

This event is a whole sensory experience, featuring German bites, like mouthwatering potato pancakes, bratwurst, knackwurst, and more.

Additionally, guests can test their strength in the keg tossing and stein hoisting contests, play a leisurely game of cornhole, and listen to live music.

Sewell Street will be transformed into a Bavarian block party with a big stage in the street as this event grows more and more every year.

If the endless amount of food, beverages, and entertainment aren’t enough, there’s something else even more special. Since its beginnings 19 years ago, the Adirondack Brewery Oktoberfest Charity Block Party has raised well over $150,000 for local charities and doesn’t plan on stopping there. Come join the fall fun and raise your stein for a great cause!
