2020 Feeder Canal Canoe/Kayak Race & Recreational Paddle
Please note: This event has been postponed from June 6 to August 22, 2020. If it cannot be held on August 22 it will be held virtually. Check FeederCanal.org for updates.
Get ready to paddle the Feeder Canal in your kayak or canoe and choose to either race or to enjoy this five mile long recreational waterway with a leisurely paddle with your family. Pass through sections of the area only seen by paddling on the canal! Ride where thousands upon thousands of logs once floated to lumber companies lined up along the canal and pass under bridges and even a building!
This event, to support the Feeder Canal Alliance, will begin at 10am at the Feeder Dam, located at the end of Richardson Street in Queensbury and finish at the Martindale Boat Basin located on Martindale Avenue in the Village of Hudson Falls. There is typically a picnic and awards ceremony to follow at Martindale Boat Basin Park.
The race will run rain or shine. Paddlers will be responsible for their own transportation to and from the start and finish areas. All registered paddlers are entered into the Paddler's Raffle. After the race, the Feeder Canal Alliance will present ribbons to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.
Come for the competition or just to have fun! Every participant is automatically entered into the Paddler's Raffle for a chance at some great prizes.
Race Day registration opens at 8:30am. You can also register in advance by emailing info@FeederCanal.org or calling 518.792.5363.
