The Lake George Elvis Festival is the latest major event to be cancelled because of the current pandemic. Organizers recently announced the tough decision and their plans moving forward.
Originally scheduled for May 27 to 31, the Elvis Festival’s cancellation means the next time the King of Rock and Roll comes to Lake George will be June 2 – 6, 2021. The theme for the 2021 festival is “The Guitar That Changed the World,” in honor of the 75th anniversary of the year that Gladys gave the King his first six-string. We can look forward to entertainers Dwight Icenhower, Dean Z, Taylor Rodriguez, Diogo Light, and more.
If you currently hold a ticket for the 2020 festival it will automatically be transferred to the 2021 festival. The seats you purchased for 2020 will be your seats in 2021. If you purchased tickets via the festival’s host hotel, the Wingate by Windham Lake George, they will move your tickets and reservations as well.
All major airlines have extended their “no penalty” cancellations through May 31. All hotel partners have been contacted and they have agreed to move reservations from 2020 to 2021. All participating vendors and sponsors of the festival have agreed to extend their commitments to 2021.
This year would have been the 17th year of the Lake George Elvis Festival. The event is one of the longest running Elvis Tribute Artist (ETA) events in the world.
