Plunge into Lake George this weekend to support Special Olympics NY. Individuals and teams will be raising thousands of dollars while taking a dip in the chilly waters. Spectators are welcome to show their support by cheering on the participants.

Join The Lake George Community Band for a special concert at the Glens Falls High School auditorium in honor of Veteran’s Day and the 75th anniversary of D-Day.

Local band Wild Adriatic is hosting their third annual music festival this weekend at The Queensbury Hotel. This year’s lineup includes Wild Adriatic, Rustic Overtones, Chestnut Grove, Annie in the Water, Andy Frasco, and Let’s Be Leonard.

Visit Fort William Henry this weekend to see approximately 7,100 flags on museum’s west lawn. Each flag honors an active service member or veteran, and they’ll be on display through the end of next week. There will also be a musket salute on Monday, November 11.

Visit Fort Ticonderoga this Saturday for special programming that will depict the critical events of October 1776 through living history vignettes, demonstrations, and guided tours. In honor of Veteran’s Day, active service members and veterans will receive free admission to the event.

Take a scenic drive up Prospect Mountain for free this weekend in honor of those who have served. The NYS Department of Environmental Conservation is offering free admission for everyone to Prospect Mountain Veterans Memorial Highway, and veterans from the area will be in the parking area to welcome visitors.

Purchase your tickets now for Chapman Historical Museum‘s annual Wine & Chocolate Tasting at The Queensbury Hotel. The evening will feature amazing wine, delectable chocolates, artisan cheeses, a silent auction, and live entertainment.
