The Adirondack Film Festival returns with a stellar lineup, Oktoberfest kicks off at Adirondack Brewery, and there are lots more fun fall events happening in and around Lake George this weekend!

Celebrate October in true German fashion at Adirondack Brewery’s annual Oktoberfest! The day features delicious German fare, unlimited beer, wine, and cider tastings, stein hoisting, keg tossing, polka music, and many other fun activities.

Head down to Glens Falls for a weekend of amazing films! The +125 short and feature films will be screened at venues around downtown. Nearly half of the films screened over the course of the weekend were filmed in New York State. There will also be interesting panels, parties, virtual reality experiences, and more.

West Mountain’s Fall Festival continues with its second (and last) weekend of autumnal fun! Enjoy seasonal food and beverages, live music, chairlift rides, aerial adventure tours, hayrides, and more. Kid-friendly activities include pony rides, a petting zoo, and pumpkin painting.

Lung Cancer Research Foundation’s Lake George Free to Breathe Walk

Take a walk for a good cause this Saturday in Lake George and help support the Lung Cancer Research Foundation. In addition to the 3 mile charity walk, attendees will also enjoy snacks, music, and fun activities. Participants can also dedicate hope flags to honor friends and family members affected by lung cancer.

It’s not too early to start celebrating Halloween! Head out to Up Yonda Farm in Bolton Landing to trick-or-treat from car to car. There will also be crafts, games, and storytelling. Don’t forget to deck out your car with Halloween flair — there will be prizes for the best-decorated trunks.
