Whether you love jazz music or just want to listen to free concerts this weekend, head to the shores of Lake George! The annual Lake George Jazz Weekend will take place at Shepard Park on both Saturday and Sunday, and performers will include the Jim Ridl Quartet, Sharel Cassity, and many others.
Oktoberfest is a traditional fall celebration full of food, music, and dancing! Gather up your friends and visit The Great Escape in Queensbury this weekend for festivities and fun rides.
If the Adirondack Nationals Car Show wasn’t enough to satisfy your love of cars, then check out the 12th Annual Concours d’Elegance at the Festival Commons at Charles R. Wood Park. Hosted by Hemmings Motor News, this car show will highlight historic, classic, and sports cars.

Attend Events for Boating Enthusiasts
Go boating and support a great cause at Yankee Boating Center’s 3rd Annual Boating for Babies fundraising event! Held at their Diamond Point location, this awesome event will feature discounted boat rental rates for participants. Funds raised will support the Glens Falls Snuggery and local charities.
Although summer boating season is coming to an end in Lake George, it’s not too early to prepare for next year! Attend the Lake George In-Water Boat Show this weekend and get closeout pricing on 2018 and select pre-owned models. Visitors will also have a chance to demo brand new 2019 models.
Spend Time Enjoying the Outdoors
Join Gore Mountain on Sunday morning for their fun and family-oriented 5K known as the Leaf Cruncher. This race is open to runners of all ages, and walkers are welcome as well. Registration will run from 8:30am-9:30am in the Guest Services Office on race day.
Adirondack Brewery’s annual ADK 5K will be held on Saturday at 10:00am in Lake George. Participating runners will enjoy fantastic views and a music & beer festival at the brewery during the post-race celebration.
Think you can catch the best fish? Sign up for the 4th Annual King George Fishing Derby this weekend! There will be multiple launch sites on Lake George, live music, door prizes, and plenty of time to fish to your heart’s content.
