Shop Around the Lake George Area
Did you know the World’s Largest Garage Sale is happening right next door to Lake George this weekend? On Saturday and Sunday, over 500 vendors will set up shop along Main Street and throughout the residential neighborhoods in Warrensburg. You can expect to find all kinds of new and old items, from antiques to collectibles, clothing, and more.
On Friday and Saturday, Sugar & Spice Country Shoppe in Ticonderoga will host a Fall Open House to celebrate the season with their customers. Stop by and enjoy warm mulled cider, seasonal treats, door prize drawings, and specials.
Enjoy Great Music & Food
Join The Queensbury Hotel in Glens Falls for Wild Adriatic’s “The Summit” Hometown Music Festival on Friday and Saturday. The performance lineup features a mix of up-and-coming bands, such as Girl Blue, Let’s Be Leonard, Paradox Saints, and more. Tickets are $15 for one day or $25 to attend both days.
Take a trip southeast of Lake George through Washington County for the 3rd Annual Beer & Brats Fest at the Community Courthouse in Salem. There will be brats, beers from seven regional breweries to sample, and live bluegrass music.
Sample a variety of delicious food from the area’s best restaurants at the 25th Annual Taste of the North Country in Glens Falls. The event will be held at Glens Falls City Park from 11:00am-3:00pm. Food coupons will cost $1 each, and restaurant food samples will range from 1-4 coupons.

Lace up your running shoes and prepare for Gore Mountain’s Leaf Cruncher 5K! This fun and family-friendly race will take runners along the mountain’s cross-country trails and base area. Each participating runner also gets a free fall foliage gondola ride aboard Gore’s Northwoods Gondola.
Play mini-golf and help support Double H Ranch in Lake Luzerne on Sunday. This special benefit will include a mini-golf tournament at Pirate’s Cove in Queensbury, followed by a barbecue at West Mountain Ski Resort.

Fort William Henry Museum’s weekend Ghost Tours have kicked off in Lake George Village. On Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30pm and 9:00pm, the museum will host a fun and spooky tour of ghostly places. Reservations are required.
The Great Escape & Splashwater Kingdom’s annual month-long Halloween celebration, Fright Fest, will begin this weekend on Friday and Saturday. Stop by for thrills by day, scares by night, and tons of entertainment and activities.
Dress your pup up in a Halloween costume and bring them over to The Great Escape & Splashwater Kingdom for the 9th Annual Bark In The Dark. The costume contest will begin at 1:30pm at the park’s Ghost Town. Park admission is free per person accompanied by a dog. Other guests who bring a dog toy, dog treats, or a dog bone to donate will receive discounted admission.
