Angels and Artwork
Do the problems of the world sometimes seem overwhelming and you don’t know how to help? Where to even start? Tim and Beth Tiger, owners of the Lakeshore Gallery, want you to begin right in Bolton Landing. The gallery space houses a recently acquired collection of angelic artwork by internationally-renowned Irish artist Lorraine Coffey. Coffey generously gifted the collection in support of Durga Tree International’s mission to help survivors of human trafficking.
The grand opening of “Angels at Lakeshore Gallery” commences on Saturday, July 22. There will be activities throughout the day, light refreshments, live music, and a ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. In addition to the gallery space, there is a retail area which will feature pieces by Lorraine Coffey, as well as angel themed cards, candles, and gifts, with a portion of each purchase going towards Durga Tree International. The grand opening continues on Sunday, July 23 and during the opening weekend there will be a special gift with purchase.
The gallery is located at 4985 Lakeshore Drive in Bolton Landing.
More about Durga Tree International
The collaborative non-profit organization was co-founded by the Tigers and Jess Hoertel four years ago. In those four years the collaborative, educational and economic empowerment program has raised over $500,000 to fight against human trafficking. With the goal to help survivors thrive and stay out of the cycle of modern slavery, the project raises and delegates funds to grassroots organizations around the world who work directly with survivors.
