Interested in boating in Lake George but don’t own a boat? The world’s oldest and largest membership boat club will celebrate the grand opening of its newest location at Beckley’s Marina in Diamond Point on April 30! Freedom Boat Club, which has more than 10,000 members in 21 states, plans to provide an affordable alternative to boat ownership in the Lake George region.
Freedom Boat Club is currently celebrating its 27th year as nationwide franchise. With a fleet of over 1000 boats, the club offers flexible memberships ranging from access to any Freedom Boat Club boat situated at a local club to boat privileges at any of their locations nationwide.
Rebecca O’Hara, franchise owner of Freedom Boat Club, stated in a press release, “We have already enjoyed a great reception from the community and are in process of signing up several new members since the soft opening.”
When the new location opens for business next month on May 9, four boats will be available for member use, including Bennington pontoons, a Key West bowrider, and a Hurricane deckboat. Additionally, the club will provide hands-on boating education for all members.
The grand opening on April 30 will begin at 12:00pm and feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1:30pm, dock tours, refreshments, raffles and more throughout the afternoon. For future members, there will be upcoming social events and special programs to keep any eye out for.
“We are excited to bring our boat club model to this market and expect great success and growth here in the days, months and years ahead,” said Freedom Boat Club CEO and president John Giglio.
