1. Veterans Recognition Restaurant Week
Sunday, November 8 – Saturday, November 14
To show appreciation for all of the region’s veterans, this special week was created by the ARCC. Select restaurants will be offering event-specific menus to all patrons for the price of $19.45. There are also some additional discounts available for veterans!
Friday, November 13
Enjoy a mix of more than 70 domestic and imported wines plus gourmet chocolates, baked chocolate goods, and cheeses at the Chapman Historical Museum’s 10th Annual Wine & Chocolate Tasting on Friday evening!
Friday, November 13 – Sunday, November 15
Head to Glens Falls’ Charles R. Wood Theater to see Sweeney Todd, the tale of a mad barber who vows revenge on those who unjustly imprisoned him. Tickets are still available for all three performances!
Saturday, November 14
Take the plunge into the icy waters of Lake George to show your support and raise money for the Special Olympics! Last year, nearly 600 participants took on the challenge, and this year, the organization has a $1 million fundraising goal.
Sunday, November 15
Lake George Community Band will be honoring our nation’s veterans with a special concert on Sunday afternoon at Glens Falls High School. Veterans and armed service members are encouraged to wear their uniforms, and veterans will be escorted to their seats.
