Attention Lake George beer lovers! Glens Falls has had a Brewfest for years and it’s about time you got one too. Mark your calendars – the first ever LakeGeorge.com Brewfest is coming to Charles R. Wood Park on September 5 & 6!
Even though Brewfest is still more than six months away, there are already over 40 confirmed brewers! Event organizer Bill Mason reports that Brewfest expects to have over 60 breweries represented when all is said and done.
Tickets will be available online soon and will cost $40 in advance and $55 at the door. The price of admission includes tickets for 20 samples and a souvenir sample glass. Sounds like a great deal to me!
In addition to all of the great drafts, Brewfest will also feature live music, food available for purchase, and a fireworks display.
But it gets even better! Proceeds from Brewfest will be benefiting four deserving local causes. The major beneficiary, S.A.V.E. Lake George, is a partnership of municipal leaders, conservation groups, and researchers working together to stop invasive species from entering the lake. Funds will also go to Feeder Canal Alliance, Adirondack Theatre Festival, and the World Awareness Children’s Museum.
