The 2014 Lake George Winter Carnival winter outdoor event is every weekend in February and features tons of al fresco activities.
Ever since 1961 the Adirondack winter outdoor Lake George Winter Carnival has been featuring children’s activities, cook-offs, games, golf, polar swims, outhouse races, ice SCUBA lessons, lake- and fire-side acoustic sets, snowmobiling, fireworks, ATV and motorcycling racing, snow slides, bonfires, kite flying, 4×4 truck races and scavenger hunts for everyone in the area who knows where to go in February.
Ring in the new year with the New Year’s Day Polar Plunge at Shepard’s Park Beach where waves of 400 people will take to the cold waters starting at 1pm. To register at 10am, head over to Duffy’s Tavern.
Attendees can enter the Winter Carnival raffle to win either a 2014 Polaris Indy 550 snowmobile, a Triton trailer or a 2014 Kawasaki Mule 610 4×4 XC from Sportline.
