Warren County Upgraded To Blizzard Warning

Winter Storm Stella has made her way into the Lake George area with 3-4 inches of snow on the ground in the first 4 hours or so. The snow is expected to get harder and the wind faster throughout the day. Warren County was recently upgraded to a Blizzard Warning, which means that extreme winter weather is expected or is currently happening.

A blizzard, by definition is a heavy snowstorm with high winds and low visibility. Snowfall rates could reach 2-4 inches per hour in Lake George, and sustained winds between 15-25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph will make visibility very low.

Stay inside if you can and ride this storm out. Travel will be extremely dangerous in whiteout conditions, especially when snow is blowing and creating drifts.

School might be cancelled tomorrow as well, and you might be able to get to a local ski mountain to enjoy lots of fresh powder!
