The Americade motorcycle rally that takes place in Lake George NY is a remarkable annual event! More than 50,000 motorcycle enthusiasts from across the nation will gather here the first full week in June to relax on the shores of beautiful Lake George, swap stories, and admire each other’s bikes.
TourExpo 2007 provides an opportunity to preview anything and everything that’s new in the motorcycle world. Over 250 vendors from around the world will be on hand to display millions of dollars worth of the latest bikes, products and merchandise at the Forum Convention Center and Million Dollar Beach.
All types of riders and passengers participate in the dozens of Americade events slated to fill the week. Touring, cruising and sport-touring bikes, trikes, custom cycles, and countless other types of motorcycles can be seen during the week-long rally. The riders who participate are a friendly, affable crowd. They are warmly welcomed by the local communities, and bring a spirit of fun and camaraderie to this incredible event.
The week-long Americade celebration is filled with unique activities, including:
- boat cruises
- championship rodeo
- demo rides available from major motorcycle manufacturers
- a fashion show to preview the latest in riding gear and clothing
- field events and contests
There are seminars and tradeshows highlighting the latest additions to the world of cycling, Poker runs, parties, and over $100,000 in prizes awarded during the week-long rally! New to the Americade in 2007 is the Motorcycle Stunt Show, highlighting the singular talents and skills required for stunt riding. Previewing the very first 2007 event is 10-time National Trials Champion, Geoff Aaron.
Lake George and the surrounding Adirondack Park offer a stunning backdrop for riding. This beautiful mountain region is dotted with lakes, ponds, scenic overviews, and backcountry roads that often surprise riders with an unexpected, breathtaking view.
The week culminates in a motorcycle parade through town to the top of scenic Prospect Mountain. The parade itself is an amazing event for participants and spectators alike, with miles of shiny motorcycles, gleaming chrome, the roar of engines and genial riders enjoying the chance to get together and share their love of the hobby.
