7th Annual Boating for Babies Fundraiser by Yankee Boating Center

When: Event has passed. Watch this page for updates.
Cost: Varies

Continuing for a seventh straight year, Yankee Boating Center located on Lake George, NY will hold a fundraising event during the weekend of Saturday, September 17th and Sunday, September 18th, at their Marina location at 3910 Lake Shore Dr., Diamond Point, NY. This year the event will also coincide with Yankee Boating Center's 50th Year Celebration going on during the same timeframe as the Boating for Babies Event.

The event hopes to raise funds for the Glens Falls Hospital along with additional local charities. The event also hopes to bring friends and family together for the weekend to enjoy boating on Lake George during a beautiful Fall day.

Similar to years past, Yankee Boating Center is taking 25% off of their regular boat rental rates for the benefit. Rentals for the weekend start at $120 for 2 hours and go up based on boat size and duration of rental. View more pricing and details by heading over to our website.

The benefit will start on Saturday morning at 9:00 am through 4:30 pm both days with free coffee and snacks to be provided in the morning for all boat renters. More information on the event can also be found on BoatingForBabies.com. Yankee Boating Center is currently taking rental boat reservations for the weekend at their rental location at 3910 Lake Shore Dr., Diamond Point, NY; interested renters should call (518) 668-5696 or click the link below to make a reservation online.

The Glens Falls Hospital Joyce Stock Snuggery completed a large renovation project in 2018 adding new birthing units and renovated existing birthing suites to provide new families with the comforts of home. The Joyce Stock Snuggery has been the area’s leading family-focused birthing center for nearly 30 years.

New to the event last year a portion of the funds raised went to local charities near and dear to the Yankee Boating Center’s staff, some of which include:

  • Family Services Association of Glens Falls
  • American Cancer Society
  • Muscular Dystrophy Association
  • SPCA of Upstate NY
  • St. Judes Children’s Hospital
  • Shriners Children’s Hospital
  • Susan G Komen for the Cure
  • Saratoga County Animal Shelter
  • Open Door Soup Kitchen
  • WAIT House - Glens Falls
  • Prospect Center
  • Council For Prevention
  • The Giving Circle

Andrew Brodie, Owner and General Manager of Yankee Boating Center, provided this statement about the event. “This event is near and dear to our hearts at Yankee Boating Center, we cherish our community and like to give back to the families that support us all year long. This year will be bigger and better than the rest as we are celebrating our 50th year in business.”

Yankee Boating Center is a family-owned and operated marine, retail, and service business that has been serving New York's Capital District and Adirondack Regions since 1966, when Bob and Sheila Brodie began selling small dinghies and sailboats out of a small garage near Amsterdam, NY.

Today, after 50 years in business, Yankee is a multi-million dollar company proudly offering a full line of the highest quality boats including Godfrey Pontoon Boats and Monterey Speed Boats.

Yankee Boating Center hopes that local families and friends can take advantage of this event and come out to enjoy the lake during one of the most beautiful times of the year.
