We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to support our campus community's evolving information security needs as part of the Information Security team, a unit within Information Technology Services (ITS). The Information Security Analyst (ISA) will play a critical role in safeguarding the university's information assets. Work will be primarily focused on assisting in the development, administration, and maintenance of SUNY Plattsburgh’s information security program, including but not limited to: identifying vulnerabilities; implementing security measures; and responding to incidents that threaten the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of university data. The analyst will collaborate with our Administration and Finance Risk Management office, cross-functional campus teams, and other external stakeholders to ensure compliance with information security training, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and both SUNY and university policies.

The Information Security team plays a key role in protecting the security of campus systems, networks, and accounts. As a whole, ITS provides comprehensive technology support for campus needs inside and outside the classroom. This includes administrative computing, web development, integration, system support, and network infrastructure management. We also support SUNY Plattsburgh’s technology needs by providing services, tools, and facilities that keep the campus community working efficiently and create a stable, secure, and user-friendly environment.
