About this event

Join Dina Coluccio from Monticello Realty for a cleanup by water and by land at Twin Channels in Queensbury from 11 AM to 2 PM for the 14th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep. Please note, all kayakers must bring their own kayaks, paddles, and PFDs, and must be EXPERIENCED PADDLERS. This is a rain or shine event.

Each year on the first Saturday in May, more than 2,500 volunteers come together across hundreds of miles of shoreline in New York City and the Hudson Valley for a day of service for the Hudson River. Volunteers clean up tons of trash, plant trees, and remove invasive plant species.

Over 13 years, Sweep volunteers have completed 1,199 projects and removed 355 tons of debris, including 2,089 tires, and planted or maintained thousands of trees and shrubs. Once-neglected areas have gained year-round stewards, and rivers and creeks are better for it.

The event stretches from Staten Island to the Adirondacks. Come out and clean your local shoreline during this annual day of service for the Hudson.  Have fun and help take care of the river! Search more than 100 locations and find a cleanup or planting project near you. Visit Riverkeeper.org/sweep
