Winter Carnival Success, a Restaurant Up for Sale & More

Lake George Winter Carnival Saw Record Numbers, Was a Massive Success
According to Sun Community News, the Lake George Winter Carnival saw “largest-ever crowds” all four weekends. Hundreds of people lined up at last Saturday’s Mac & Cheese Cook-Off alone, and over the entire carnival, 300 tie-dye tee-shirt kits were sold, hundreds of people lined up to purchase souvenirs, dozens of families entered the snowman-making contest, the Keg Toss Competition and Ladies Frypan Toss saw a record number of entrants, the Dogs Got Talent Contest was a huge hit (there was also a record number of dogs brought to the carnival in general), and the numbers go on and on.
The fourth and final food competition, the Mac & Cheese Cook-Off last Saturday, landed Bebob’s Backstreet BBQ in at first, The Garrison took second, and The View Restaurant at Dunham’s Bay Resort claimed third. Congrats to everyone!
The Lake George Winter Carnival has already updated their Facebook cover photo to indicate planning is underway for the 2023 winter carnival.

Another Property Put Up for Sale on Lake George
The Lake George Beach Club is now on the market for $6.5 million, reports the Albany Business Review. The major renovations in recent years, including but not limited to new docks and floors, plus the restaurant’s excellent waterfront location right by Million Dollar Beach, makes it an attractive option to prospective buyers.
Other properties that have gone up for sale over the past year include Neptune’s Bar & Grill, which includes Lake George Village Mall and Lake George Boat Rentals, Flamingo Resort, Country Cottages, and Capri Village. Neptune’s is still on the market, while the others have been sold.
Bolton Landing Will Welcome a New Restaurant This Spring
Foothills Business Daily reports that Gem Restaurant is scheduled to open in Bolton Landing this May, by the owners of Little Gem Liquor Store. The restaurant will be in the space formerly occupied by the Sagamore Pub, and they plan to offer a “cocktail program.”
