Breast cancer has and continues to affect the lives of many in the community, and this October, Adirondack Winery in Lake George aims to help make a difference. From October 1-31, 2019, the local winery will present its 7th Annual Drink Pink breast cancer fundraiser to benefit Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of the Adirondacks.
Raise a Glass to Adirondack Winery’s Fundraising Campaign
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of the Adirondacks is part of the American Cancer Society, and funds donated to the cause are used for life-saving breast cancer research, transportation to and from treatments, overnight stays for patients and families, and more.
Adirondack Winery is committed to supporting Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, and for the 7th year, the business will donate thousands of dollars through sales of its pink wine, pink wine accessories, and event tickets, and other specials and promotions.
For 2019, the winery’s Drink Pink campaign fundraising goal is $8,500, $500 more than it raised last year. In a press release, Adirondack Winery President and Co-Owner Sasha Pardy said, “Every year, we look forward to growing this effort so we can provide even more funds for life-saving treatments and services to people who need it right here at home.”
How Can You Join the Cause?
There are a variety of ways you can support Adirondack Winery’s Drink Pink campaign. The winery is currently offering a limited-edition “Drink Pink Berry Breeze” wine, a strawberry, raspberry, and blueberry-infused, semi-sweet rosé, with a special pink theme. For every bottle sold, $5 will be donated to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. “Drink Pink Berry Breeze” will be available from now through October 31 on Adirondack Winery’s website and their Lake George and Bolton Landing Tasting Rooms.
In addition, they will donate 25% of proceeds from all pink wine accessories sold online and at the tasting rooms, and 100% of raffle ticket proceeds.
Planning a visit to Adirondack Winery this month? Take note that $5 for every Ultimate Wine Tasting for 2 sold will be donated, as well as $1 for every wine slushy bought before Columbus Day. There will also be wine and crafting parties on Friday nights in October, and $10 for every ticket sold will be donated.
Near the end of the month on Sunday, October 27, there will be a Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 3K Walk at Cool Insuring Arena in Glens Falls. Adirondack Winery is the flagship sponsor of this event, which will raise more funds and promote breast cancer awareness and Making Strides’ local programs.
